Jeremiah 3:15

"And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will guide you with knowledge and understanding." (NLT)

OUR PASTOR

Pastor Seth C. Harris, Sr. was born on May 3, 1957 to Charles L. Harris and Mary C. Porter.  He united with the Community Missionary Baptist Church in January 1978 under the leadership of Reverend Niles Seawood.  Six years later, he was called to the ministry and preached his trial sermon on July 1, 1984.  After his acceptance of the call to the ministry, he became involved in the Sunday School Department as a teacher.

Pastor Harris attended the Western Baptist College where he received a Certificate in Christian Theology.  After graduation from Western Baptist College, he was set before the council.  After thorough oral and written examination, he received a Certificate of Ordination on September 13, 1987.

As his ministry grew he became the Director of Sunday School Christian Education. Due to his commitment and agape love for the Lord, he was appointed to become the Assistant Pastor of the Community Missionary Baptist Church.

Because of his diligence, hard work, and the ability to be a leader, he was called to St. Andrew Missionary Baptist Church as Interim Pastor on December 1, 1993.  On May 2, 1994, he was called and shortly thereafter, accepted the position as Pastor.  Since that time there has been tremendous growth in both Pastor Harris and the body of St. Andrew.

On October 8, 2010, Pastor Harris graduated from Faith Evangelical Seminary with a B.A. in Religion, Masters of Religious Studies, 2012, and a Master of Divinity, 2014.  In spring of 2015 Pastor Harris was accepted into the Doctorate program at Faith Evangelical Seminary. Pastor Harris is set to graduate with his Doctorate degree in October of 2018.
